After a few reboots of my audiofire8 (sorry it's not an audiofire2), it changed port number. Giving it the node and port number worked a bit better : -n 0 -p 1. It didn't crash but ffadomixer said there were no mixers for this soundcard (is that true ? ) and then I checked gscanbus which didn't display my card.

  • version changed from FFADO 2.0-beta6 (1.999.36) to FFADO 2.0-beta7 (1.999.38).

  • owner set to ppalmers.
  • status changed from new to assigned.

The library version of ffado doesn't match that of beta7 but that of SVN trunk.

04563469466: Debug (ffado-dbus-server.cpp)[ 252] main: Using ffado library version: libffado 2.0.900-1305

Could it be that multiple versions are installed?

oops... I'm sorry about this bug, cleaning up the previous installation of ffado got the mixer running correctly ! Wow, thanks a lot! I've been longing for the moment for a long time...
