Terratec Phase 88 FW - Problem with ports 7 and 8 (Front / Back switching)

Description

With a Phase 88 FW device, ports 7 and 8 can either use 2 inputs on the device back or the 2 inputs on front.

Hopefully it can be switched with ffado-mixer but I have to select "Front" in order to use back inputs and vice versa. Moreover this setting is not remembered and I have to switch to back inputs each time before launching Jack.

Maybe it's fixed in trunk but i can't test right now and it would be great if this was fixed in the "upcoming release" ;-)

Thanks for your amazing work!

So one point is that the labeling of the switch in the mixer is wrong? This can be fixed.

The other point is that the position is not remembered. Do you power down your device and it looses this setting? Or does it loose the setting between jackd-runs without powering down the device?

First point: yes the labeling is wrong

Second point: the position is lost only when the device is powered down (stopping and restarting JACK keeps the position right).

Thanks!

  • status changed from assigned to closed.
  • resolution set to fixed.

I fixed this in the libffado-2.0 branch to work correctly with the Phase88 I have available.
