I am trying to get ffado to connect to my freshly acquired saffire pro 24.
I did the firmware update and tested the hardware on windows.
I installed ffado svn (not sure trunk or 2.0 branch though).
The ffado-test ListDevices? finds the saffire pro 24. But ffado-dbus-server and jackd complain that they can't do the FCP transation.
I installed jack svn.
In attachment the required ffado-diag.log, and two ffado-jack.log. One without a ~/ffado/configuration file (ffado-jack_noconf.log) and the other where I had put manually the definition of the saffire pro 24 in ~/ffado/configuration (ffado-jack.log). Someone reported that it fixed his problem. It didn't fix mine but maybe that will help you.
Little note: I have the modules ohci1394 and ieee1394 compiled in the kernel because some ethernet drivers did not seem to work as module but did compiled in the kernel. And my first firewire host controller was bad so I tried compiling in.
